Welcome! This is the home of SBCAN, Shreveport- Bossier Christian Apologetics Network. An “apologist” is one who provides answers, as in 1 Peter 3:15 (NIV):
15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect…
The Greek word for answer is apologia. Think about it, what is it you do right after you say “I’m sorry”? Almost always, it’s an “I’m sorry, BUT…” you give the answer for your apology. The word apology comes from apologia, which really relates to the answer given.
We are a group of mostly like minded Christian scholars who have made ourselves available to teach, lecture, coach, train, instruct, give seminars, edify, educate, and otherwise share the Word of God with whoever would like to listen to us. Our services are almost always free – unless we have to travel long distances and the travel expense becomes too much.
